Martha et Muffin – Savon au lait naturel

Hand crafted natural goats milk soaps made from the milk produced by our goats in the heart of rural France. Our goats live freely and happily at our family run sheep farm.

About our farm

We are a small family run sheep farm based in the heart of South West rural France. To grow our business in the last 2 years we have diversified and invested in goats, for the sole purpose of producing milk! The gorgeous raw milk is used in our beautiful natural soap.

We started with 2 goats ‘Martha and muffin’, two milking goats. Over the last year we have increased the herd with ‘Maurice’ our male goat, who has produced two beautiful bouncing kids! We have built a separate workshop for the production of the soap.

All the recipes are natural, oils used are skin loving and produce lots of lather. Olive oil & coconut oil are used rather than palm oil. For the scent essential oils are used as opposed to fragrance oil and for the decoration botanicals such as dried flowers and clays to colour.

Our soaps

I make the soap the cold press method, which means the soap needs 5 to 6 weeks to cure before use. All my recipes have been tried and tested (cpsr) and have legal documentation provided by a cosmetic chemist that complies with EU cosmetic regulation.

Each bar of soap I make is handmade and cut by hand, we have a environmental approach here, I don’t use palm oil and minimise the use of plastics, all the ingredients are natural and good quality. I Only use essential oils for scent, botanicals to decorate and natural clays to colours, even the glitters used are bio glitters that are not harmful to marine life. Packaging is kept natural too.

I do so hope you enjoy using Martha and muffin’s luxury goats milk soap!
